TWICE EXCEPTIONAL people
The term "twice exceptional" (also known as "2e") refers to individuals who possess both above-average intelligence or talent and a disability. These individuals may face unique challenges because their exceptional abilities may mask or overshadow their disability, making it difficult for them to receive appropriate support and accommodations.

For example, a student who is twice exceptional may excel in certain academic subjects but struggle with social skills or attention due to a condition such as autism. Similarly, an adult with twice exceptionalities may have a high level of expertise in a particular field but struggle with daily tasks.

Twice exceptional individuals benefit from specialized care that recognizes and addresses both their exceptional abilities and their disabilities. Dr. Viani collaborates with parents, educators, and other support providers to provide appropriate accommodations and support to help 2e individuals achieve their self-selected goals.
